The women in my life are everything to me, so I want to pay that love forward to all of you by highlighting some of the things that make my life easier, more interesting/delicious/efficient…you get it. I have no sense of style, but I know what I like and what works for me, my girls, and our dogs. This is so cheesy I know, but here’s to women helping women. We are amazing.
These products are the things I reach for time and time again. Some are life changing, but mostly, they’re just over-achievers. For instance, I hate all the time I lose brushing my teeth, but the DiamondClean Toothbrush makes it relaxing — I feel like I’m getting a gum massage. Pretty good, as my dad would say.
Determining what makes a great toy is easy: how many minutes of distraction does it offer? More than five means you’ve found a great toy. These meet that high bar for my 4-year-old and me.
With kids, dogs and a home to care for there’s always a list of essential items and love-to-haves that I’m shopping and holding out hope for. The below items (and one service) are all things I love and use daily or weekly. I might not need them, but I love them.
Isn’t it great to put down food and have babies and kids eat it? Well, no one knows because that never happens. Trying to get food into kids is challenging – with a 1- and 4-year-old, I know this frighteningly well. We really need all the help we can get around feeding, and these items have offered me some much-needed assistance.
Socks, ties, mugs – aka, the only Father’s Day gifts for hundreds of years. I guess we all thought, men have money and power, they don’t need great gifts too. Or maybe we wanted to spend our babysitting money on froyo and Clearasil instead. Bottom line, our time is precious and shopping for socks and ties is boring. These are a few options I really like for dads…
I obviously never look forward to getting out of bed in the morning, but listening to a podcast on my Bose Headphones and guzzling a hydrating chocolate-y LMNT drink make it tolerable. Life is just better with the right stuff.
