To revitalize Sharpie’s appeal among younger creators, I developed a gamified experience that paired drawing challenges with a silly, ‘sudden-death’ twist. By leaning into irreverent humor, this project transformed drawing into a social event—contributing to a strategy that grew Sharpie’s community to nearly 2 million fans and established a dominant presence on youth-centric platforms.

Players drew a character and a weapon (with a fine, medium, or thick Sharpie), or chose a weapon from the Weapon Artillery.

Doodles battled it out for one minute.

To fend off jungle beasts and falling snakes, players had three weapons to toggle through.

Winning is cause for celebration.
